According to the reports, 600 patients are being monitored daily, most of them with coronavirus symptoms. As the hospital is still under construction, it has become very challenging for the hospital authorities to accommodate especially non-COVID patients. Sources say the hospital has only a single ward with a total capacity of 35 beds for non-coronavirus patients.

The authorities further informed that due to the ongoing monsoon season there is a sharp rise in the number of non-corona patients. Further, the administration is failing to meet basic demands. However, the dean of the hospital refused to give any statement in this regard.

"The situation is very adverse. The hospital itself is flouting the social distancing norms by accommodating more number of patients. We have raised this issue to the higher authorities. It is a very unfortunate incident, I wish the matter will be resolved at the earliest" Gopal Aggarwal, former MLA said.
