Mumbai (Maharashtra): The National Narcotics Bureau (NCB) which is currently in Mumbai to investigate the drugs connection in Sushant case has arrested two drug smugglers. Both these smugglers used to supply drugs in parties held in Mumbai.
However, NCB has denied any direct connection of the two with the recent revelations in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
The NCB team is constantly questioning and collecting information about the entire drugs racket from them.
Zonal Deputy Director of NCB KPS Malhotra said that the team of NCB that reached Mumbai was investigating drugs-related cases. The team meanwhile, gathered information about such drug smugglers who deliver the consignment of drugs to parties held in Mumbai. The team came to know that the duo supplies a special type of hemp to many parties held in Mumbai which is very popular among the people who attend these parties.
Acting on the information, the NCB team arrested two peddlers identified as Karan Arora and A Abbas who are about 20 years old.

During interrogation, the duo revealed that there is a great demand for this drug in the parties of actors and actresses. It comes in many flavours. Its smugglers send its consignments from abroad to Mumbai via couriers through darknet or other methods.
One of these accused is a drug addict and in that order, he got involved in smuggling.
He joined the supply chain for its purchase. On the other hand, the second accused is already involved in its smuggling.
KPS Malhotra further said that the duo used to supply drugs to various artists in the industry as was revealed in Sushant's case. However, they have not revealed any connection with Rhea Chakraborty so far.
The duo are being further questioned and efforts are being made to know about the clients of the two peddlers.
