Mumbai: The Mumbai University has said that they have received multiple bomb threats through email. According to reports, the university received emails demanding the university to announce the results of Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom).
The emails threatened a bomb blast in the university premises if the exam results were not announced.
On August 9 and August 12, mails came from separate email IDs making the threats. "If the result is not announced immediately, then there will be an explosion at the university," the accused threatened.
An inquiry into the incident by the University of Mumbai and Mumbai Cyber Police has revealed that the emails were sent by a student.
University sources said police are investigating the matter further.
