Mumbai: A 40-year-old man was found dead with his throat slit near Vihar Lake in suburban Mumbai on Tuesday, police said.
According to the police, a passerby spotted the body of Rajesh Bharadwaj near the lake in Sanjay Gandhi National Park and informed the police control room in the morning hours.
The police suspect that an unidentified accused allegedly slit the victim's throat and abandoned his body, the official said.
As per a preliminary probe, the accused might have been known to the victim, who was a fruit vendor, he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
