Mumbai (Maharashtra): The Mumbai Police have filed an FIR against unknown persons for sexually assaulting a dog in the city's Powai area.
Earlier on October 22, two women had noticed the nine-year-old dog profusely bleeding near the Galleria Mall in Powai.
The two women had been taking care of the dog for a few days. However, as soon as they noticed that the dog was bleeding from her private parts, they immediately took her to an animal hospital.
The veterinarians treating the dogs noticed a wooden stick inserted in her private parts, indicating that the animal was sexually assaulted.
Meanwhile, based on the complaint of Bombay Animal Rights (BAR), the Powai Police have registered an FIR under Section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and other offences.
