COVID positive woman discharged within 5 days, inquiry ordered

Jehangir Hospital of Pune has readmitted a COVID-19 patient discharged within five days of admission. An inquiry has been initiated into the matter.

Pune (Maharashtra): A COVID-19 positive patient who was admitted to Jehangir Hospital was discharged by the hospital authorities within five days.

An inquiry has been ordered to find out what caused her early discharge. The woman was brought back to the medical facility.

The husband of the woman, an employee at Jehangir Hospital, had also tested positive for COVID-19 seven days ago. He, along with his three relatives, who also tested positive, have been admitted to the same hospital.
