Indore: Police suspect Rajasthan-based gang's involvement in MDMA drug case

The police said the arrested individuals have mentioned the involvement of Rajasthan-based Lala gang in drug smuggling. Lala gang is believed to be involved in the supply of cocaine, opium on a large scale in Rajasthan, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat.

Indore: The police is investigating a 'possible' involvment of a 'Rajasthani gang' in the MDMA drug case which recently came to light.

According to the investigators, the main accused in the case - Ved Prakash Vyas and Dinesh Agarwal - have revealed Rajasthan-based Lala gang's involvement in drug smuggling.

Lala gang is believed to be involved in the supply of cocaine, opium on a large scale in Rajasthan, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat.

Vyas has revealed that he used to operate from a medical store in Indore's market area and supply drugs to many gangs.

He used to sell surigal items and generic medicines at his store named 'Paradigm' in the market area. However, after his arrest, it is learnt that people close to him cleaned up the place and claimed that no such store existed there. The police said they are questioning the nearby shopkeepers and other people in the market.

On 13 January, a team of the Indore Crime Branch raided and confiscated documents from various companies including a pharmaceutical production unit owned by Vyas.

The documents revealed that many Hyderabad-based businessmen had invested in Ved Prakash's pharmaceutical company.

Currently, on the basis of the documents, the police have identified some traders in Hyderabad who have been found to be associated with the main accused person in the case.

Earlier, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) had raided a synthetic drug manufacturing company at Pologround in Indore.
