Gwalior: A shocking incident came to light at a hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior when it was found that a dead body of a patient who had passed away due to Covid-19 was kept in close proximity to other patients and with a protective covering.
The incident took place at District Headquarters Hospital in Murar where the Covid-infected person died in the hospital and his body was kept on the hospital bed for over 24 hours.
It is alleged that the Covid-19 patient died last afternoon but the hospital did not shift the body.
On being informed about the incident, the hospital authority shifted the body after the intervention by Congress MLA Satish Sikarwar.
Meanwhile, the hospital authorities said that the body was cleared late because there were only a few workers (regular employees) available.
