Market employees stage sit-in protest against Model Act implementation in Sheopur

Sheopur market employees organized a sit-in protest against the implementation of Model Act in agricultural produce. They raised concerns about security and lack of transparency regarding purchasers.

Sheopur: Sheopur market employees organized a sit-in protest in the market premises against the implementation of the Model Act in agricultural produce.

They demanded the government to withdraw the order for implementation of the Act and reimburse their salaries.

The Model Act implementation faced opposition across the state as well. The indefinite protestors also warned of shutting down the work.

They allege that the model has been implemented by the government such that the traders and farmers are oblivious of the identity of the purchasers.

They also raised concerns of security as PAN card can be stolen by anyone and he or she can reach anywhere with the goods.
