Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Just four days after former Chief Minister Kamal Nath's offensive remarks on Madhya Pradesh minister Imarti Devi, the latter retorted by calling Kamal Nath's mother and sister 'item' in a similar language. Fiercely attacking Kamal Nath, the minister called Kamal Nath 'a resident of Bengal' and referred to his mother and sister as ‘Bengali items’.

She said that how would a person coming from Bengal know how to appreciate the power of women.

Ever since he stepped down as Chief Minister he has gone berserk. He is going from one place to another and saying whatever that comes in his mind without giving a second thought, she said.

Not only this, Imarti Devi went on to ask "if a person who hails from Bengal can say things like this to his mother and sister, then what respect can he possibly give to other women." She also said that he has insulted a woman from Chambal and referred to her as an ‘item’. If he is calling a woman an ‘item’, then his mother, sister and wife must also be the items.

If Kamal Nath made a blunder in understanding Imarti Devi, she has in turn made Kamal Nath the biggest villain in Indian politics.

Last Sunday, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath had called Minister Imarti Devi as an 'item' in the Shivraj government.

The Bharatiya Janata Party was swift to train guns on him after the incident. Rahul Gandhi also reprimanded Kamal Nath for his inconsiderate comment.

Congress spokesperson Acharya Pramod shared the video

Acharya Pramod, one of the star campaigners of the Congress in Madhya Pradesh, has criticised Imrati Devi while sharing her video. He tweeted and wrote "Imarti Devi's 'sweetest' comments on the 'senior' Member of Parliament, who reached Lok Sabha 10 times from Chhindwara and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath and her late mother."

Kamal Nath's statement has landed him in the eye of the storm in Madhya Pradesh. Regarding the demand of Minister Imarti Devi to file an FIR against former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Congress leader PC Sharma has said that when Imarti Devi will register an FIR, the thing will come out with more clarity in the court that whether the former Chief Minister had uttered anything offensive in regard to her. He said that BJP has lost its ground, they have nothing to campaign against the Congress and popular mandate.
