Satna: As many as seven people were killed while four were critically injured due to lightning strikes at different locations in the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. The injured are currently under treatment.
The first incident was reported from Dharmapura Purani Basti village under Badera police station limits where few fishermen were hiding behind the Hanuman temple.

Amid strong winds, the lightning struck the temple and three of them died on the spot, while one succumbed to injuries at a hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Avinash Kol, Surendra Sahu, Jitendra Kol, and Bharat Kol.
The injured are being treated at Maihar Civil Hospital.
According to doctors, Raju Kol, Sipahi Kol and Sampat Kol are critical.
All the victims were from Kakra village.
The second incident was reported from Kailaspur village under Majhgawan police station limits where lightning struck a tree and two people died on spot.

Satishchandra Pandey and Umesh Kumar Mishra went to look for their missing buffalos when the incident took place.
Police have recovered their bike from the spot.
The third incident took place in Harai village under Ramnagar police station limits where one person was killed and one was injured.
The two were from the same family and going to Semaria by a cycle when the lightning struck them.
Chotelal Saket died on spot and Bablu Saket was rushed to the hospital.
