Narsinghpur (Madhya Pradesh): A dog is a man's best friend, but in this case, 'Leo', a german shepherd, raised the bar for other domesticated animals as he donated blood to a fellow dog in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur.
The whole procedure of a dog donating blood to the other was carried out under the supervision of two private veterinarians.
Vandana Jatav, a resident of Ronsara village has a six-year-old German Shepherd 'Jimmy', who was anaemic and ill for months. After check-up, the doctors advised Vandana to get blood from a donor.
One Mahendra Pratap Singh, who lived in a nearby village got the news and reached the clinic with his German Shepherd 'Leo' to donate the blood.
Dr Sanjay Manjhi, a doctor of the Animal funds Sanjeevani Center, informed that after blood donation, both the donor and recipient were healthy.
