Damoh: Located at a distance of 250 km from the state capital -Bhopal, a residential area in the city of Damoh had an unusual visitor into their dwellings.
The continual rain, which had lashed the state, contributing to the rise in the water levels of the river, washed away a 10-feet-long crocodile into the area on Sunday morning.
Alarmed by the sudden development, the locals informed the forest department officials, who in turn rescued the reptile and released it into the Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary
Parmlal Ahriwal, Damoh Forest Range Officer, said: "The crocodile was caught by the department with the help of residents. It has been relocated to Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary.
Apparently, the crocodile came out of the river after the water levels increased due to heavy rains."
