Indore: Another doctor who was tested coronavirus positive in Madhya Pradesh's Indore has died here on Friday, taking the death toll due to COVID-19 in Indore district of the state to 27, an official informed.
The deceased doctor has been identified as Dr. Om Prakash Chauhan. He was former AYUSH Officer of the district. This is the second case of a doctor succumbing to coronavirus infection in Madhya Pradesh.
According to sources, Dr. Chauhan had symptoms of coronavirus and was admitted to a private clinic in Indore. Despite continuous treatment, there was no improvement in the health of the doctor and his health condition continued to worsen.
Later, he was shifted to another hospital as his health condition deteriorated. However, Dr. Chauhan breathed his last during treatment at the private hospital this afternoon.
Reportedly, A 65-year-old Doctor Shaturghan Panjwani has died of Coronavirus in Indore on Thursday. He was infected while he was treating COVID-19 patients at his clinic.
Notably, MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had ordered total sealing of Indore, Bhopal and Ujjain districts and directed that no one would be allowed to enter or leave these districts.
