Mysore (Karnataka): Rohini Sindhuri IAS who took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Mysore on Tuesday said she will focus on efforts to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus.
"Covid-19 infections were high in Mysore. So I held special meetings with the doctors and other officials to arrange for more Covid tests," Sindhuri said.
Another priority of the district administration under Sindhuri IAS will be to handle the festival of Dussehra under safe conditions.
"Another priority job will be to hold Dussehra adhering to all Covid-19 safety protocols. I have the experience of conducting Mahamasthabhisheka. So I think I will be able to handle the festival of Dussehra. I hope the people of Mysore cooperate with the authorities by wearing masks and maintaining social distance," she added.
The bureaucrat visited Chamundi Hills and offered prayers at the Chamundi temple before taking charge in Mysore.
