Kottayam: Suneesh, a specially-abled man was saddened after the cycle he bought for his son was stolen. The next day a bicycle of the same colour was present before his house. It was not the same stolen one, rather, one sent by the Chief Minister of the State. Justin, nine-year-old, Suneesh's son was elated to find a new bicycle. While, Suneesh said that such an intervention was not expected at all though the incident was reported in the newspapers.
Suneesh had uploaded a video in Facebook requesting those in his network to call and inform him if anyone spot the bicycle with anyone or in any scrap shop. The video was shared and circulated well by netizens.
As Chief Minister of Kerala took note of the incident from news, the next day, cycle of the same colour was present before his house. Pinarayi Vijayan directed Kottayam District Collecter M Anjana to present a cycle to the family. Following this, Anjana bought a cycle from Kottayam and took it to Suneesh’s house. Justin was overwhelmed with joy when he got a new bicycle of the same colour as that of the stolen one.
Suneesh’s hands and legs have ailments. He moves by crawling on the floor with the support of one of his hands. Not being let down by his physical limitations, Suneesh has been running a venture on his own at Kuruvikkoodu, near Urulikkunnathu.
The cycle he had bought for his son Justin, aged 9, parked in the front yard of the house was stolen on Wednesday night, last week. Suneesh, his wife Jini and their daughter Justia were surprised with this gesture.
