Meet the 13-year-old who can sing in 116 languages

Suchetha Satheesh, a 13-year-old girl from Thalassery, Kannur can sing in 116 different languages. She holds the world record for singing in 112 languages ​​in six hours.

Kannur: Suchetha Satheesh, a native of Thalassery, Kannur is creating wonders with her talent by singing in more than 100 different languages.

Suchetha, a ninth-grade student of Dubai Indian High School, holds two world records for singing in 112 languages ​​in six hours.

The 13-year-old first started singing in the Japanese language. Now, the young bunch of talent can sing in 116 languages.

Daughter of Dr Satheesh and Sunitha Aayilyam, Suchetha began to sing due to the curiosity she had towards various languages, which later continued with the encouragement from her parents, friends and teachers.

She broke the world record two years ago by singing in 102 world languages ​​in a concert titled 'Music Beyond Boundaries' at the Indian Consulate Hall in Dubai.

The song was sung in 26 Indian languages and 76 foreign languages. She was able to raise around Rs 5 lakh by selling her album which she donated to the chief minister's relief fund for those affected by the Kerala floods last year.

The teenager also got an opportunity to sing in a programme attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which she considers as the greatest achievement of her life.

Suchetha, who has been studying music since the age of three, is still working on singing in more languages.
