Kollam: A 24-year-old woman was stabbed to death by a neighbour in Kollam.
The deceased was identified as Abhirami, Uliyakovil native. The accused Umesh attacked Abhirami and her mother with a knife.
The incident happened around 11 pm on Thursday night.
It is learnt that the flow of sewage from the deceased's house to Umesh's house provoked the latter. Umesh had lodged a complaint with the police regarding the issue.
Abhirami's mother, Lini and the accused Umesh were also injured in the incident. Both were admitted to hospital.
Eyewitnesses said that the accused had hurt himself after attacking them. Police rushed to the spot and took the three to the hospital but could not save Abhirami's life.
