Due to the lockdown, the regular practice sessions of the vrindavadyam (musical ensemble) team of Chungathara Marthoma Higher Secondary School, Malappuram, were disrupted. The students associated with the team found it extremely tough to practice.

Each of them had different thoughts; on how would practising alone help in learning new songs and how would the practice be complete without doing it together. Finally, they decided to gather online, and create a music video.

As a first step towards making the video, they chose the theme song of the popular Tamil movie Bigil starring Vijay. Each of the team members was assigned with the portion he was to play on the instrument.

Everyone individually played their respective instruments, recorded the audio and the video on their mobile phones and sent them.

The arrangement went like this: Jinu - guitar, Anandu - thakil, Shine - Jazz drum, Shalvin- rhythm pad, Midhun- tabla, Liju - cajon, Vivek and Jasvin - keyboard. Simjo V George, the team's trainer and a teacher, also joined in with his keyboard.

Vivek, a team member edited the video, and his brother Vinay chipped in with his help. The video was finally released on the YouTube channel named 'V 2 creations'.

Soon after the release, the video went viral and spread across social media platforms. The musical album was made by individually recording and combining together each student's performance on their instruments, who remained in their own houses.

With the support of the students' parents and also the efforts of a school teacher, Priya George, the 'lockdown idea' of the student musicians' troupe is now trending on the internet.
