Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday granted permission to the students of Thoppumpday Arooja High School to appear for SSLC examination. Issuing the order, the court also issued some conditions to the school while conducting the exam.
As per this, the students will be allowed to write 3 examinations scheduled on March 4, 14 and 18.
After the court issued the order, the students and parents expressed relief over the matter.
The court also made it clear that though the students can write the exam, it will be bound to the final verdict in the case.
Meanwhile, CBSE officials informed the court that the school lacks basic facilities which are mandatory to get affiliation.
The court issued the interim order examining the situation of the students who were restricted from appearing in the examination over the mistakes committed by the school.
The students of the Arooja Little Star School at Thoppumpday were unable to take the ongoing Class 10 board exam as their institution did not have CBSE affiliation. The school officials allegedly did not inform the students and parents about the non-recognition which came to light only last week.
