Indian Navy rescues sinking vessel in Kochi, all safe

Prompt coordination by Information Fusion Centre-Indian Ocean Region along with other vessels in the area and MRCC Chennai and MRCC Male ensured expeditious rescue of stranded crew onboard MV MCP Salzburg.

New Delhi: Indian Navy has deployed ships and aircraft to provide search and rescue assistance to Indian Flagged vessel MSV Anna Vailankanne Arockia Vennila reported sinking 250 nautical miles south of Kochi on Tuesday. All crew reported safe and en route to Male onboard MV MCP Salzburg.

Prompt coordination by Information Fusion Centre-Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) along with other vessels in the area and MRCC Chennai and MRCC Male ensured expeditious rescue of stranded crew onboard MV MCP Salzburg.
