Gadag: A young man from Suranagi village in Karnataka's Gadag district was gored to death by a bull as the villagers had organised a bull race on the occasion of the 'Kara Hunnime' festival on Thursday. The deceased was identified as 22-year-old, Kirana Kumara Malakajappa Nerthi. He was hit badly on his chest by the bull and rushed to the KIMS Hospital in Hubli where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. The victim was a graduate and preparing to join the Army.
As per reports, the bull race was organised on the public road, in front of Hanumappa temple, violating all the Covid norms. The police have filed a case against as many as 21 people for organising such an event flouting the Covid guidelines.
