Chamrajnagar: A third tiger cub has died of starvation in Karnataka. The female cub was one of four found at the Bandipur Tiger Reserve in a poor state of health on Monday.
The cubs were taken to the zoo in Mysore for treatment where two of them died earlier. Reports said the fourth cub that is being treated is a male.
An autopsy on the remains confirmed starvation as the cause of death.
A search is on for a tigress, believed to be the mother, after her footprints were found in the area where the cubs were found.
