Bengaluru: After B S Yediyurappa stepped down from the chief minister post, the state is likely to get the new chief minister shortly. Union Minister Kishan Reddy will be arriving in the state as an observer for the state while BJP national president JP Nadda is also expected to attend today's meeting. State BJP in-charge Arun Singh, Deputy in charge DK Aruna, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel will also be arriving in Bengaluru in the evening.
Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraja Bommai said that Kishan Reddy is expected to arrive while it is not sure if Dharmendra Pradhan and Piyush Goel would join the meeting. Basavaraja Bommai and R Ashok visited Kumarakrupa guest house to review the arrangements for the accommodation of the meeting.
The BJP's legislative meeting will be held today at 7:30 pm in the presence of the central leaders.
The parliamentary board of the BJP has appointed observers for the election of the leader of the legislative party in Karnakata. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and G Kishan Reddy will be central observers for the legislative party leader election.
All the MLAs have been called for the meeting. There will be a debate on the next CM in the legislative session and the CM will be chosen this evening and the CM's name will be announced at the meeting.
