Married woman elopes with boyfriend, leaving baby at home in Karnataka

A 28-year-old married woman named Mubina allegedly eloped with her boyfriend, leaving her baby at her paternal home in Karnataka's Udupi. During the incident, the woman was kept under quarantine as a precautionary measure to contain coronavirus spread.

Udupi: While still under quarantine, a married woman allegedly eloped with her boyfriend, leaving her baby at her paternal home in Karnataka's Udupi, police said on Thursday.

Mubina (28), a resident of Ajekaru Kaikamba area got married eight years ago with Sajid and the couple got settled in Maharashtra's Pune, said police.

However, Mubina came back with her baby and started living with her parents since four months due to some family problems, police said.

During the lockdown Mubina's family went to Mangalore to attend a marriage ceremony without informing anyone. Following which they were asked to keep themselves in isolation.

After her father who was stranded in Mangalore returned home, found that her daughter has eloped with someone. A case has been registered and further investigation is in process.
