Bengaluru: Kannada's popular reality show Bigg Boss season 10 contestant Varthur Santhosh has been arrested from the Bigg Boss house on charges of wearing tiger claw. Sources said that Santhosh was arrested late at night on Sunday by the forest officials on the charge of wearing tiger claw dollar, which is prohibited under law.
Santosh is currently in the custody of the forest officials. He is likely to be produced before a local court today. It is learnt that the Bigg Boss contestant was arrested under Wildlife Protection Act after he was spotted wearing the tiger claw locket on the reality TV show. A complaint had been received against Santosh, who was wearing a tiger claw dollar around his neck, for violating the Wildlife Protection Act.

Following the complaint, Varthur Santosh was arrested by the forest officials and the locket he was wearing was also confiscated by the Forest Department officials. Sources said that the team of Forest Department officials entered the Bigg Boss house and asked the producers to bring the locket outside the house in order to check whether it was a genuine tiger claw locket.
Sources said that the visiting team of Forest Department officials found that it was indeed the locket made of real tiger claw. The team of Forest Department officials later called the producers to hand over Santhosh and officially arrested him for the alleged crime. Pertinently, the Kannada Bigg Boss reality show began on Oct 8.
Varthur Santosh later entered the Bigg Boss house as a contestant.
