Bengaluru: The lawyer for the woman linked to the CD case involving ex-minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has said his phone was being tapped by the government.

The BJP tweeted why lawyer Surya Mukund Raj, working for a Congress law firm was appearing for the CD case victim. When the CD case victim woman appeared in court on Tuesday, he was also in the court.

In his reply, the lawyer said "when the woman appeared before the court, I was also there. First, I am a lawyer. I have made it clear that it is my duty to advocate honestly for those who want my service as a lawyer."

Jagadish - another lawyer for the victim, has asked for my help and I am supporting him. The woman has asked me to plead in the case.
The BJP is misleading her parents and do not abuse the judiciary, Mukund Raj said. He added that there should be no politics in the case.

He further said, "the government is tapping my phone. No government has done this. This is not good. Home minister Basavaraj Bommai do not overthrow the judiciary. You are not accusing me. You are accusing the judicial system, the chief justices. Ramesh Jarakiholi is an accused and you should not attempt to defend him.
