School girl gets lost phone of her deceased mother

A schoolgirl from the Madikeri town of Kodagu district is quite happy after getting her mother's mobile phone back. The girl's mother died due to Covid-19. Four months ago, the girl's mother had succumbed to Covid-19 at Madikeri District Hospital. During that time, her mother's mobile went missing in the hospital.

Madikeri (Karnataka): A schoolgirl from the Madikeri town of Kodagu district is quite happy after getting her mother's mobile phone back. The girl's mother died due to Covid-19. Four months ago, the girl's mother had succumbed to Covid-19 at Madikeri District Hospital. During that time, her mother's mobile phone went missing in the hospital.

The girl wrote a complaint to the District Collector and the Police last month and requested them to trace the mobile phone. The girl said that the phone had photographs of her mother and it's the only means to cherish her mother's memories.

After getting the directions from the district administration, the Madikeri Police put their efforts to trace the mobile phone. The District Hospital's staff found the phone while cleaning the hospital's storeroom. The staff handed over the smartphone to the police. Later, the police called the girl to the Police station and handed it over to her.
