Farmers are more interested in Israeli model farming after it was started by HDK. Farmers have already planted mango trees in the Ramanagara District's Kootagal and Kailancha area under the guidance of the Horticulture Department.
Isreal agriculture technology allows the planting of more horticultural crops on a piece of land. Recently, mango plants have been planted in this system. In the old system, only 40 mango saplings could be planted on an acre of land. However, in the Israeli model, more than 250 plants per 1 acre can be planted in 12 feet spacing.
