Karnataka doctor worked in COVID19 hospital for a month without taking leave

A doctor has been praised for working at Covid Hospital without even going home for a month and being available round the clock. District Tuberculosis Controlling officer Dr Mahesh MG, a doctor, has been treating corona infected patients for over a month without going to his home.

Koppala (Karnataka): A doctor has been praised for working at Covid Hospital without even going home for a month and being available for the infected round the clock. District Tuberculosis Controlling officer Dr Mahesh MG, a doctor, has been treating corona infected patients for over a month. Coronavirus infection in the district increased in early May. In collaboration with the district administration, a 100-bed Covid Hospital was opened at Gavimath. Dr Mahesh M.G. was appointed by the District administration to look after this hospital.

Dr Mahesh, who served from May 11 to June 14 did not go home for a day. He stayed near Covid Hospital and was available for patients without even seeing his wife and children. A total of 315 infected persons have been admitted to the Covid Hospital in Gavimath. The doctor said, "Haven't been home for a month. Work started at 5 am and it was ending at 12 pm. Lunch breakfast was served from Gavimath itself. I am satisfied that I have served patients".
