Bengaluru (Karnataka): Officials of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Karnataka 'sleaze CD case' held a spot inspection of an apartment in Malleshwaram along with the woman complainant in the case.
The inspection was led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kavitha. According to sources, the flat is owned by the BJP leader Ramesh Jarakiholi who is at the centre of the controversy. The price of this flat is said to be around Rs 3.60 crore. Earlier, a spot inspection of the woman's house in RT Nagar was held.
Will go to court if Jarakiholi is not arrested, says woman's lawyer
The complainant's lawyer KN Jagadeesh has warned that he will approach the court if the former Karnataka minister is not duly arrested.

"The police are ready to arrest him. But the government is pressuring SIT not to arrest Jarakiholi. It is a serious case and every piece of evidence is important," he said while speaking to media in front of Jarkiholi's apartment.
Took protection from police: Woman's kin
The brother of the woman said the family took protection in Bijapur as they feared retaliation from KPCC President DK Shivakumar. "Police have provided security to us. We are cooperating with the investigation of the SIT officers. We are satisfied with SIT investigation," he said.
"My sister was constantly making phone calls to us before. But now, she is not calling. It feels like she's under pressure from someone. For 20 days we have no information on where she is. She was just making videos. Please hand her over to us," he said.
