Bengaluru: An FIR has been lodged in connection with an attack on an IAS officer at the Bommanahalli Covid control room in Karnataka.
Charges include obstructing the duty of a government official. The complaint was made by the officer at the HSR Layout Police Station.
Probationary IAS officer Yashwant was sent to the Bommanahalli Zone War Room on a government directive on April 29. At the time there was confusion over bed allocation for Covid patients and a tussle broke out.
Member of Parliament from Bengaluru South Tejasvi Surya and the three BJP MLAs had alleged bed-blocking scam by staff in the South Zone War Room. Surya alleged that hospitals in the city blocked beds in fake names to make money.
