Seven youths were arrested by Bangalore police for playing 'ghost' prank on people at night. Dressed up in white clothes with blood stains and wig with long hair, the college students used to scare commuters and sleeping homeless people at night.

Bengaluru: What started as a prank to scare strangers took a 'scary' turn for seven youths in Bangalore after they ended up in the police station. Dressed up in white clothes with blood stains and wig with long hair, the college students used to scare commuters and sleeping homeless people at night. Bangalore police arrested the students on Monday for causing mischief in the area.

Shaan Malik, 20, Naveed, 20, Sajil Mohammed, 21, Sakib, 20, Syed Nabil, 20, Yusif Ahmed, 20, all residents of RT Nagar, and Mohammed Ayub, 20, a resident of Nagawara were arrested after police received multiple complaints about 'ghost' in Sharifnagar near Yeshwanthpur.

Further investigation revealed that the students used to upload the video of the prank on social media sites for fun.

The seven accused were booked under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 504 (insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.

They were let off later after procured a bail.
