Kalaburagi (Karnataka): Doctors of Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Kallur village in Chittapur taluk of Kalaburgi district delivered a baby under torchlight since there was no power supply.
Pregnant woman delivers baby under torchlight
According to reports, patient and pregnant women treated at the PHC have been bearing the brunt of regular power supply failures at the PHC.
Siddamma was admitted to the PHC last Tuesday. While she was in labour, the electricity supply failed and doctors were forced to deliver the baby under torchlight.
Villagers expressed anguish as there was no power backup. Relatives of Siddamma and the villagers urged the health department officials to make proper arrangements.
