Bantwal (Karnataka): A minor girl was abducted and gang-raped by a group of three-four men in Bantwal taluk of Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district. The incident came to light after the girl gathered herself and filed a complaint with Bantwal police.
The girl was walking to school around 7 am on Friday when the culprits traveling in a car kidnapped her by force. She was taken to a secluded place and was gang-raped.
As per the victim's statement, a group of three-four men left her near Brahmarakutlu area after raping her on Friday. The CCTV footage at the area revealed vital clues and police are looking out for the accused. A case has been booked under POCSO Act and relevant IPC sections.
The victim is undergoing treatment at Lady Goschen hospital in Mangaluru city.
