Mysore (Karnataka): In a humanitarian gesture, Central Zone DCP Chetan Singh Rathore served lunch to 15 Jharkhand-based migrant labourers who were starving for two days and walked 130 km to Bengaluru railway station from Mysore.
These workers wanted to go back to their homes and came to Bangalore Railway station by foot as the government has arranged Shramik trains for them.
"Our owner did not contact us after the lockdown. And even we were unaware of how to apply for our travel in Shramik Trains. Please send us to our hometown" they requested at the DCP office in the Cubbon Park Police station.
