New Delhi: Jharkhand BJP President Deepak Prakash denied the allegations to topple the 'Mahagathbandhan' government in the state and said that the ruling- parties are having an internal dispute on few matters.

Jharkhand BJP President Deepak Prakash and former CM Babulal Marandi had a meeting with central leaders to update them on the state of affairs in the Jharkhand.

Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash met BJP national president J P Nadda while Babulal Marandi met Union Minister Amit Shah.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, BJP state president Deepak Prakash said: "The meeting was to update the central leaders about the poor health management during pandemic and law and order situation in the state."

"We drew his attention towards the rising criminal cases and political retaliation in the state. The ration being provided by the central government is not being evenly distributed in Jharkhand, "he said.

The BJP state president further said that the discussions were held regarding upcoming by-elections in Bermo and Dumka of Jharkhand.

Commenting on the JMM-Congress-RJD dispensation in Jharkhand, Prakash said: "BJP will not bring down the government in the state. The ruling- parties are having an internal dispute on a few matters. They have failed to stand on the expectations."

Explaining the internal crisis faced by the ruling party, he said: "Jharkhand Congress has 15 MLAs in which some of them are not happy with Congress state president Rameshwar Oraon. Though this is their internal matter Rameshwar Oraon has failed as a minister. BJP has no role to play in the internal matters of Congress. There was no discussion with J P Nadda that government will fall in Jharkhand."

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and Jharkhand minister Rameshwar Oraon said that the BJP is trying to break the Congress MLAs. The BJP, however, denies such allegations, calling it a strategy of the Congress to pressurize the Chief Minister.

Oraon said that many of his MLAs were lured by the BJP and an attempt was made to buy them during the Rajya Sabha elections. He alleged that the BJP is constantly trying to lure the Congress legislators. However, expressing confidence in his MLAs, he said that they are loyal Congressmen and will not go to any other party.

A few days back, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren said that there is no possibility of rebellion when the opposition is directionless and leaderless.

Reacting to Soren's remarks, Prakash said: "The CM's comments on the opposition are distasteful as the opposition is equally important as the ruling government in a democracy. This statement shows that the speaker is not giving the status of opposition to Babulal Marandi on the direction of CM."
