Dhanbad: A girl from Japan liked a boy from Jharkhand so much that she flew across seven seas to marry him. Kumar Sundaram, a resident of Dhanbad, is a banker and Japanese Yuri Yashuda works as an interior designer. They got married according to Indian customs on Wednesday.
Kumar and Yuri met during an exhibition in Tokyo. Love grew when the proximity grew, and then they both vowed to live and die together. This longing for love brought Yuri from Tokyo to Dhanbad and with the consent of the family, the two got married to be with each other.
They married on Wednesday in Saraidhela, Dhanbad, as per Hindu customs. Yuri's family arrived in Dhanbad from Japan to attend this wedding. With this, some friends of both of them came from America to join the celebrations.
The third son of retired BCCL civil engineer Shivbadan Singh, Kumar went to Japan after completing his studies from Netarhat. He got a good job at Disinvestment Bank in Tokyo, Japan. It was here during an exhibition that they both met. Yuri is an interior designer by profession.

After this meeting, the two became friends and then fell in love. About 7-8 months after the meeting, the two decided to get married, but social bond, religion and culture stood like a wall between the two.
Kumar Sundaram and Yuri Yashuda narrated their story to their parents. After this Sundaram's parents went to Yuri's house in Japan. Yuri came to Dhanbad with her parents. The meeting of the two families continued for about a year. Finally, the moment came when both families agreed to their marriage. The couple had been waiting to hear this impatiently.
Sundaram and Yuri are very happy about this wedding. Yuri told ETV Bharat that she did not even think in her dreams that all this would be possible, but now she considers herself lucky. Sundaram said that even today, relationships are made in the name of caste and religion in our country, however, only those relationships that are connected to the heart bring happiness. Children should talk to their parents openly so that they can understand.
Sundaram's father Shivbadan Singh said that he has three sons, but not a single daughter. His Japanese daughter-in-law now fills that place up as his daughter.
Sundaram and Yuri's story looks filmy, but the two are very happy together. When two hearts meet, then no matter how high the walls of language, religion and culture are, they fall short.
