'Dead man' comes 'alive' on postmortem table in Ranchi

In a bizarre incident in Ranchi, doctors allegedly declared a man dead while he was "still breathing". His relatives noticed that he was "alive" and informed the officials, who suggested them to take him to emergency section of the health centre, where doctors pronounced his dead again. Relatives say he could have been saved.

Ranchi: Relatives of a person, who was declared dead by doctors of a community health center in Chanho block here, have said he was "still breathing" when preparations for his postmortem were on.

The relatives of the deceased claimed that they immediately informed officials there who then asked them to take him back to emergency section of the health centre, where he was declared dead again.

The deceased was a resident of Kharta village and came in contact of high tension electricity wires while dismantling a tent in the village.

Investigation is on to unearth the truth, sources said.
