Latehar: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his 10-month-old girl by dashing her on the ground while accusing his wife of infidelity in Latehar district of Jharkhand, police said on Tuesday. A police official said that the incident took place on Monday night in Mahuadand police station area of Latehar district.
The accused has been identified as Dilip Kujur, a resident of Mahuatoli village under Mahuadand police station area. It is learnt that Kujur and Kunti Munda are married for the last 8 years. The couple have two children. However, the relationship between the husband and wife turned sour ten months ago, when their second daughter was born.

An official said that Dilip got suspicious that the baby girl was born out of illicit sexual relationship between his wife and her paramour. Ever since the birth of the baby girl, Kujur used to often quarrel with his wife with the fight getting intense for the last several days over the matter. On Monday night here was a fight between the husband and wife which later turned ugly.
Suddenly Dilip Kujur picked up his 10-month-old girl and dashed her on the ground. The baby girl died on the spot in the incident, the official said. Later, when the local villagers came to know about the incident, they rushed to the spot. The villagers caught hold of Dilip and informed the police about the matter.
Soon, a team of police reached the spot and arrested the accused Dilip Kujur. The body of the deceased girl was also taken into custody. On Tuesday, the body of the deceased girl was sent to Latehar Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Further investigation into the incident is going on.
