Giridih (Jharkhand): In a violent clash between two groups in Chappartand village of Dumri police station area of the district 18 people were injured after both the groups attacked each other with sticks. The injured people were referred to Dumri Referral hospital for treatment while two severely injured people were referred to Dhanbad hospital for treatment.
According to the locals, there was a dispute between the two groups over the cutting of the wood of a fallen tree on the ground after which both the groups attacked each other with sticks.

Among the injured from one group are Mohanlal Mahato, Vishwanath Mahato, Keshu Mahato, Baldev Mahato, Mahesh Mahato, Bhagirath Mahato, Deglal Mahato, Naresh Mahato and Devnarayan Mahato.
The injured from other group are Girdhari Mahato, Suresh Mahato, Sanjay Mahato, Rajeev Mahato, Manoj Mahato, Mahadev Mahato, Naresh Prasad Mahato and Rajendra Kumar Mahato. Among the injured, Mohanlal Mahato and Suresh Mahato were severely injured and have been referred to Dhanbad hospital.
However, no group has filed any police complaint so far.
