Srinagar: A week after a Territorial Army (TA) soldier Shakir Manzoor went missing from Shopian, an unverified audio message has surfaced where the speaker claims to be militant and has taken the responsibility of the kidnap and murder the soldier.
On Friday, the soldier's clothes were found in an apple orchard, leading the security forces on to intensify their search operation.
Rifleman Shakir Manzoor went missing on Monday and was reportedly abducted by terrorists as he was on his way to join back duty after spending the Eid holidays with his family.
The abductors had also torched the soldier's private vehicle as they took him away.

He was a soldier working with the 162 battalion of TA in south Kashmir.
