Trial for water rafting held in Doda to promote adventure tourism

To promote adventure tourism in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, DC Sagar D Doifode participated in a trial session of water rafting on Monday. Doifode further said that the tourism department will organize training sessions for rafting and other programmes to put Doda on the tourism map.

The trial that was undertaken under strict Covid-19 protocol started from Prem Nagar and concluded at Karara.

Talking about the route and trial, DC Doda said that the route for rafting is completely safe and secure. He said the administration is doing everything to promote adventure tourism in Doda so that the district is known by it.

Doifode further said that the tourism department will organize training sessions for rafting and other programmes to put Doda on the tourism map.

“The district administration is going to hold white water rafting festival by this month-end as part of its tourism promotion campaign,” Doifode said.
