Tri-colour will unfurl in PoK one day, says MoS Jitendra Singh

Addressing the media at the renaming ceremony of India's longest tunnel Chenani Nashri (J&K) after the founder of Bhartiya Jan Sangh party Syama Prasad Mookerjee, MoS PMO Jitendra Singh claimed that under the leadership of PM Modi, dream of unfurling tri-colour in PoK will come true one day.

New Delhi: Since the abrogation of Article 370, Modi government's stand on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir region is very clear. On Thursday, MoS PMO Jitendra Singh said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the dream of unfurling tri-colour in PoK will come true one day.

Singh made these remarks at the renaming ceremony of India's longest tunnel Chenani Nashri (J&K) after the founder of Bhartiya Jan Sangh party Syama Prasad Mukherjee. Chenani Nashri was inaugurated by PM Modi in 2017.

"Even after PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah's daring step to revoke Article 370, somehow the promises made to Syama Prasad Mukherjee are still to see light of day. The tri-colour which Mukherjee gave to us is yet to be unfurled in PoK. I am hopeful that under PM Modi's leadership this dream will come true," Singh said.

Nitin Gadkari said that government will soon announce a highway project from Delhi to Katra (J&K)

Emphasising on the role which road infrastructure plays in the development of a country, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari said that government will soon announce a highway project from Delhi to Katra (J&K). He even claimed that by taking this highway commuters will Katra in six hours.

Gadkari also claimed that to eradicate poverty and provide employment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is also preparing a package which is in the final phase of discussions.
