Jammu: After the repeal of Article 370 in the Centrally Administered Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Central Government has been continuously enforcing new laws. These laws are being enforced in the absence of a democratic government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Recently, a new excise policy was enacted against which people in Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, have been protesting for more than a week.
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Kavinder Gupta said that he had talked to Union Minister Kishan Reddy about the new excise policy.

In this regard, ETV Bharat had a special talk with the senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta. He said that the government should not be in favour of opening new liquor shops in residential areas in the temple city of Jammu. He said that the anger of the people against it was justified.
The former Deputy CM said that the BJP would start its political activities with the support of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
