Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir): The Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Monday launched raids in winter capital Jammu in alleged terror conspiracy case, sources said. Sources said that a team of SIA sleuths arrived in Bhatindi area of Jammu early today morning and conducted the searches there.
According to the sources, the State Investigation Agency ( SIA) raided the houses one Anwar Hussain, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident Vidhata Nagar Bathindi and Sarpanch Hafeez-Ullah, son of Barkat Ali, a resident of Bathindi, Jammu. The raid is being conducted on the suspicion that both said individuals are involved in anti national activities, an official said.

Pertinently, amid the SIA raids, simultaneous raids by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are going on at several locations in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district in south Kashmir in connection with the alleged terror funding by Jamaat-e-Islami. According to police sources, the NIA team assisted by the local police and the CRPF, conducted searches at Bongam and Bonbazar areas of the district today.
The NIA raids come four days after the federal investigation agency on Thursday carried out raids at several locations in four districts namely Budgam district in central Kashmir, Baramulla and Kupwara in north Kashmir and Pulwama district in south Kashmir. The searches by the NIA were conducted in connection with an alleged terror funding case.
Earlier on May 4, the NIA conducted searches at 16 places in Jammu and Kashmir as part of the investigation in alleged terror funding linked to separatist and secessionist activities of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami. It can be recalled that Jamaat-e-Islami, a socio-religious organisation was declared an unlawful association under the UA(P) Act on February 28, 2019.
