Anantnag: A sheer negligence by the administration has come to the fore in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag, where at least 113 migrant workers have been quarantined in a single room after they tested positive for COVID-19.
On the one hand, the administration is urging people to take all the precautionary measures to arrest the virus spread, whereas, on the other hand, it itself seems to be showing negligence.
As per reports, out of 196 migrant workers, 113 were tested positive in the Qazigund area of South Kashmir. They were also seen flouting COVID protocols by not wearing a mask and not maintaining the social distancing.
Meanwhile, Dr Zahoor, Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Qazigund, said that workers have been kept in a containment room where they have been provided with sanitisers and masks.
He said that no symptoms were found in any of the positive patients and they are also not allowed to go out until their next reports come negative.
