Jammu: Police in Jammu have detained one person in connection with weapon dropping at Phallian Mandal. The case is related to a drone dropping one AK-47, a night vision device, 3 magazines & ammunition at Phallian Mandal in Jammu on Oct 2.

Talking to ETV Bharat, IGP Jammu said that one person, identified as Irfan Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Anantnag district's Verinag area, was arrested under Arms Act on 2 Oct in PS Satwari.

As per the police, the accused person has confessed that he was in touch with handlers across the border and is associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). He had come here to receive the weapons consignment, which has already been seized by the police.
