New Delhi: Jammu-Kashmir National Conference (NC) leader Trilochan Singh Wazir was shot in the head, an autopsy report has revealed. The accused in the murder case, Harpreet Singh and Harmeet Singh, are still absconding. The investigation so far has revealed that Harmeet carried out the murder with the help of his friend Harpreet.
Wazir was found dead in a flat in West Delhi's Moti Nagar on September 9. His body was found in a partially decomposed state in a washroom of the flat in the Basai Darapur area, which was taken on rent by his acquaintance Harpreet Singh. Wazir had arrived in Delhi recently and was staying with Harpreet since then.
During the investigation, it was also revealed that the murder was carried out under a well-planned conspiracy. According to the police, Harmeet wanted to kill Wazir in August for which he had come to Delhi.
Wazir, a resident of Jammu, was supposed to take a flight to Canada on September 2. When there was no news of him for days, his family informed the Jammu Police which in turn approached the Delhi Police.
The police also questioned a female friend of Harpreet who revealed that she had come from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi on September 4 to meet Harpreet and on September 5 they vacated the house.
She also said that during the stay in the house she could not fathom that a dead body was kept in the house as the AC was running in the room.
