Earlier, Mehbooba Mufti was barred from visiting the house of PDP Youth President Waheed Rehman Pareh in Pulwama district.

The PDP and the National Conference have repeatedly criticized the administration for barring them from campaigning and not allowing their DDC candidates to leave their homes in the name of security. Which affects the election campaign.

The government has repeatedly denied the allegations made by the parties associated with the Gupkar declaration, saying that no person or party is barred from campaigning.

Besides, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had also issued a statement in which they said, "Mehbooba Mufti was prevented from going to Pulwama only on security grounds."
